There are two main types of conservatory roof, and as such, there are two types of conservatory window film available. These are:

Supertint ® for your glass conservatory roof

Supertint ® for your polycarbonate conservatory roof

Conservatory window films are manufactured specifically to prevent the heat building up within the room. The film is applied to the inside of the roof, and rejects the heat and glare before it can enter the room. This is where conservatory window films provide a better and more effective alternative to blinds, which are traditionally set back from the roof or window, thus giving the heat a chance to enter the room, resulting in increased, uncomfortable temperatures.

Once applied, conservatory window films will prevent the steady build-up of heat, but will not make your conservatory feel cold. The result will be a more temperate climate, allowing you to enjoy your conservatory at times of the day and year when previously it would have been too hot.

The film will also cut out the glare, with both types of conservatory window film cutting it down by up to 80%, allowing you to watch television, read or work in your conservatory without having your vision obscured by the bright sun.

The film is applied to the roof of your conservatory, which involves working overhead and at height, so whilst DIY installation is possible, we advise that conservatory window film is fitted by one of our expert teams.
