TUNNEL TRANSFORMATION AT THE KASSAM

Oxford United have made an impressive start to the new football season and whilst the management and playing staff obviously take the credit for an excellent run of results, here at The Window Film Company we’re proud to have played a part in ensuring the Kassam Stadium is looking just as good as the team.

Ahead of the new season, a range of work was carried out at the stadium, including the upgrading of the tunnel area at the stadium – arguably one of the most important locations in the ground. The project brief involved the introduction of floor to ceiling graphics throughout the area and The Window Film Company was engaged to deliver.

Following a site visit, it was possible to propose a solution; the printing of graphics directly onto large foamex boards, followed by installation onto the stadium walls. A sample panel was printed and supplied to the club, allowing those managing the project to see first-hand what the finished graphics, which were custom created by the club, would look like in situ.

Following receipt of the sample panel, the club were happy to proceed with the proposed materials and printing could commence. Each panel was printed by The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics and print department, utilising UV print technology to deliver a high quality, rich and vivid finish. With the boards printed, installation took place over a two day period.

The graphics comprised floor to ceiling representations of the Oxford United squad, with the iconic club crest also featured. The end result is a professional and eye-catching display, giving the area an over-riding sense of professionalism and pride.
